Demiter Christmas 2014

We spent Christmas with Grandma and Papa in Richland this year. Grandma recently had foot surgery so it was nice to spend the holiday with them but also help with anything that was needed during her recovery.

Dad was even able to fit in a few days of duck hunting during our stay. We had some amazing duck jerky! It has been way too long in between hunting trips so he is planning a few in the new year.

On Christmas eve we had an amazing crab and shrimp boil with Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle Scott, Aunt Melissa, Uncle Mike, and Zak. It was so much fun to spend time with them and laugh through our white elephant gift exchange.

The boys removing Grandma and Grandpa's "dinosaur" to setup the new TV!

These boys love their camelbaks

Knox loves his pop-gun! He found it a few times in the closet before Christmas so I had to keep hiding it.

Griffen came home on the 28th and we celebrated Christmas with him in the morning. For most of the year he had been talking about a bow so for Christmas Santa brought him a compound bow. He also got some extra arrows, a quiver, targets, and a camo hoodie. He's set. For additional practice we got him Cabelas Big Game Hunt for the Wii.

It is always hard when Griffen isn't with us on Christmas but we make the best of it. This year was a little harder because Knox is getting older and asks where Griffen is. It breaks my heart to tell him that Griffen won't be home for Christmas. Fortunately when Griffen came home Knox was over the moon excited and all was right in the Demiter house!
