Happy Easter 2014

Griffen brought all of the Easter baskets upstairs and the boys looked through them in bed with us. We decided not to load them with candy. Each of the kids got a little gift, some eggs with money, and 1 candy bar. Each of them was very happy with their special treats.
We watched a little bit of "Jesus of Nazareth" in the morning. The boys dyed Easter eggs after breakfast and then we did a small egg hung in the yard with them.
There was a special Easter program during sacrament meeting at church and it is always so sweet to see the primary children sing.
We wrapped up our evening with a great Easter dinner including lamb, funeral potatoes, and roasted veggies.
It was a wonderful day! We enjoyed our time as a family and the above all we were reminded of our Savior's great love for us!

Knox got a gardening set - he loves to help in the yard

Trig was excited about his "eggs" filled with change

Happy 10th Birthday Griffen!

The Easter Egg Hunt

Griffen's 10th Birthday!!

I'm in awe at how quickly the years have flown by and we are now celebrating Griffen's 10th birthday!
Griffen had a great time with friends at a local gym. They climbed the rock wall, jumped on the trampoline, played in the foam pit, and tried out all sorts of gymnastics equipment. Even Trig and Knox enjoyed themselves. Griff chose lacrosse as his theme and by special request I made vanilla cupcakes, Matt made chocolate lacrosse sticks, and we had creamsicle floats.
{Griffen} Everything turned out great and we had a really fun time!

Happy Birthday to my Big Guy!!

Baby Demiter #4 32 Week Update

We've made it to the single digit countdown for Aidy's arrival! Mama is still feeling good with lots of energy to get things done during the day. There will only be a few more weeks until exhaustion sets in. Total weight gain is 24lbs......not too shabby. I'm sleeping OK and no real issues with leg cramps, thanks to taking Magnesium this time around. There have been plenty of Braxton Hicks but I know what the real ones feel like so they don't bother me much.
We are starting to decorate Aidy's room although she won't occupy it for at least 6 months after she arrives. I have the time and energy to do it now and know that I won't later. I'm in the "girl spirit" and made headbands, hair clips, new burp cloths, swaddling blankets, and other DIY items to decorate her room.
Aidy is now approximately 4 lbs which is the size of a large jicama. She is about 16 inches long and taking up lots of space. She's on her way to gain around a 1/2 lb. a week from this point forward so she will have lots of fat on her when she makes her arrival. She now has toenails, fingernails, and some peachfuzz for hair.
8 more weeks seems like a long time but I know that it will fly by!

2014 Lacrosse Season

This is Griffen's 2nd Lacrosse season but it is his first season as a Monroe Bearcat. He is really enjoying his new team and has made some great friends. This year's team has quite a few young players and many of the kids are new to the sport of Lacrosse. The transition from an established club to a newer one has come with some growing pains. Griffen really enjoyed having a winning season last year with only 1 loss and 1 tie. This season they've had some hard losses but Griff is confident that his team will grow together and next year when he moves to the 5/6 team they will be much stronger.
It is awesome to watch Griff on the field and see his passion for this sport. I am so proud of him!
