Our first trip to Disneyland!

We set off on our greatest adventure yet.....flying in a plane!!

Our family of 6 was packed and ready to travel to beautiful sunny California. This was the first time that Knox, Trig, and Aidy had been on an airplane and the first time that any of them, including Matt, had been to Disneyland!

Papa booked up a condo in Anaheim where we met him and Nana along with aunts, uncles and cousins to spend a few days and the most magical place on earth.

After traveling and getting settled we spent time at the pool and then went out to dinner in Downtown Disney.

Day 1 was spent at California Adventure. I had everything strategically planned so that we could get to as many rides as possible and maximize our experience in both parks. We arrived at opening and stayed until "World of Color" in the evening. We watched a portion of the show but everyone was so tired that we decided it was time to call it a night.

We were up bright and early on day 2 for Disneyland and arrived at the park just after opening. We stayed until about 3:30 and headed back to the Condo. Matt, Knox, Trig and Aidy took a nap while Griff and I walked to the nearest starbucks for frappucinos. I woke everyone up at 6pm and we headed back to the park where we stayed until Midnight! It was a blast and well worth the long day!

Day 3 was our final day and we split it between the 2 park. We start the day at California adventure to attempt to visit areas that we missed and get on a few more rides including The Tower of Terror. Luckily we had the opportunity to use our switch rider pass and after Matt rode with Knox and Griff I would get to go with the boys. We crossed over to Disneyland in the afternoon to catch a ride on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Indiana Jones and go back to Fantasyland. At 7pm Disneyland closed for their Mikey Halloween Celebration so we headed back to the Condo and then at about 9pm Knox, Griff and I went back to California Adventure so that we could go on the Tower of Terror and see the Moana sneek peek. We stayed until the park closed that night.

This was a fantastic family vacation! We had long days but I wouldn't change it for anything. It was worth the smiles, laughs, and excitement that we got to see in each of our children. Papa has said to add another trip to our calendar in 3 years!
