Christmas Tree Hunt

This year we decided to pick out our Christmas tree as an FHE activity. It was quite the search to find a Christmas tree farm that is open mid-week but we were successful and visited Wintergreen's in Machias.

They had lots of wonderful trees to choose from and it was very difficult to pick one that we liked most.
Finally a decision was made and we chose a 10ft beauty. It has to be big!
Matt and Griffen teamed up to cut down our amazing tree.

In the barn we had yummy hot cider and the boys warmed up next to the wood fire.

Happy Movember!

There is nothing like a good excuse for Matt to grow his mustache back!

In honor of Movember Trig even has a stache diaper

A Blessing For Trig

Matt recently said that when he has met each of his boys for the first time he feels a great love for them but there is just something that changes and he feels an even deeper love for them once he has given them a blessing.
We are so thankful that Grandma and Papa along with Aunt Renae, Uncle Ryan, and the boys were able to come for the weekend to be with us for this special event.
The spirit was truly with Matt on this special day as he asked our Heavenly Father for a blessing upon Trig. We are so fortunate that Matt is able to perform this special ordinance.

Happy Halloween 2012

The week before Halloween Knox got his early shot of sugar at the Ward Halloween Party and Trunk or Treat. The cultural hall was packed this year for the festivities. Knox enjoyed looking at all of the costumes and of course he couldn't get enough of the sweets!

We were finally able to use pumpkins from the garden this year! In previous years the chickens ate them but this year without chickens they survived. We had 6 pumpkins total. We carved pumpkins as an FHE activity and the boys loved it.

Griffen wasn't home for Halloween this year so we decided to forgo trick-or-treating. We decided that it was best not to take the boys out in the rain. Instead we went to the Becker's. Rachael invited us to hang out with her while the kids were out in the neighborhood. It worked out well because she invited Nick so we were able to see Griffen. It was pretty entertaining watching him guard his candy from Knox!
