Halloween 2015

This was the first year that I didn't sew or at least create costumes for the kids. This school year started with a bang and we have been full steam ahead since September. There just aren't enough hours in the day to sit down and sew costumes and it can become very costly with all of the materials needed. So, this year I decided to take the kids to the Goodwill and let them pick out their own costumes. This idea was a big hit! Knox picked out a knight costume, Trig grabbed a triceratops, they decided that Aidy needed to be a princess so a Tinkberbell costume worked for her, and Griff wanted to be something ghoulish. When all was said and done we spent $30 and everyone was more than happy with what they found. It was a win-win!

Celebrating October Birthdays -- Knox is 5 and Trig is 3

Knox and Trig have a favorite new show they like to watch on netflix - Dinotrux! They requested a special Dinotrux cake this year and I did my best to create one. Although I wasn't sure it turned out very well the boys thought it was amazing, and their opinion was really all that mattered.
Grandma and Grandpa came for a visit to celebrate their birthdays and we enjoyed spending time with them. The boys were very excited about the gifts that they received. Knox got Dinotrux, books, and a scooter. Trig also got Dinotrux and a new strider bike!

I think he was more excited about the "poppers" than opening his gifts!

Testing out the new bike in the house.

We did a celebration for Knox on his actual birthday too. We went the store to pick out his scooter and he opened up his bag of books!

Griffen crosses over into Boy Scouts

Griffen has now moved on from cub scouts and crossed over into boy scouts. There was a ceremony for this occasion and Griff received his Arrow of Light award. We are so proud of his hard work in the scouting program. During his time as a Webelo we challenged him to earn all 20 pins and he met this goal! Each of the pins required time and commitment so we wanted to reward Griffen. He now has a hiking pack that he can used on future scouting adventures!

Back To School 2015

First day of Middle School for Griffen!

First day of Pre-school for Trig! He wasn't excited about taking pictures.
