It's spring time and that means it's chick season!
We took our trip to Dayville and the Snohomish co-op to pick our gals. The boys excitedly picked out a variety of chickens. We ended up with 6 - Lucy, Gertrude, Dottie, Kit, Dorris, and May.
One evening after having the chicks for about a week I went in the garage to check on their food and water and sadly found that May had died.
Knox had been in and out of the garage all day and I must have missed one of his trips into the garage because it was clear by the signs of death that Knox had accidentally put her to rest.
I asked him what happened and the sweet response I received was "May night night, May ow wee".
A few days later Matt went to find a replacement for May. He came home with 2 replacements! Our additions were May 2 and Goldie.
We now have a flock of 7 ladies!
