Our Memorial Day weekend baby turned 2! The boys thought that Aidy needed a mermaid cake so I browsed pinterest to find ideas that didn't include fondant and were fairly simple. I think it turned out pretty good!
We had a small celebration including dinner and then cake with ice cream. Aidy opened a new Sofia The First doll, a mermaid wooden doll set, a baby with a carrier and some new pajamas. She was very excited about her presents!
Aidy's personality has really blossomed during the past year. She has a very sweet disposition but can be "bossy" with her brothers when she doesn't get her way. She has become more specific in her clothing choices and constantly chooses dresses. Aidy is always willing to give hugs and kisses, especially if Knox or Trig are crying. She seems to always have a baby in her arms and is quite the "little mama". Happy Birthday sweet girl!

Happy 12th Birthday Griffen Daniel!
Ten 12 year olds, LAX sticks, a trampoline, BBQ wings, and sleeping bags.......what more could you want for a birthday party?!
Griff invited a few buddies over for a BBQ and sleepover. They had a great time playing catch in the backyard, jumping on the trampoline, and just hanging out. At Griffen's request I made pasta salad, potato salad, baked beans, and 2 types of chicken wings. It was a hit with the kids.
This was the 1st year that I haven't baked a cake or cupcakes for Griffen. Instead he asked for peach cobbler and vanilla ice cream. I guess he's getting too old for a character cake!
Griffen had a great time and was thankful for a simple birthday where he could spend time with his friends.

Sonshine Preschool 2016 Spring Concert
Each year Sonshine Preschool has a spring concert and all of the children have the opportunity to sing songs about Jesus. I can't help but smile the entire time because the kids are so cute as they excitedly perform after practicing for the last week. I was able to get a few photos of both Knox and Trig as well as some video.
Both boys talked all week about the concert but when it was show time Trig was pretty nervous. He stared stoned faced for most of the concert, other than the few minutes where he made fish faces. We were so proud that both stood on stage and enjoyed singing.
Next year will definitely be interesting to watch as Trig and Aidy will both be in preschool!

Bearcat Basketball 2015-2016
Griffen really enjoyed playing another season with the Bearcats on the 6th grade select team. With 3 practices a week and 3 games per weekend we stayed extremely busy.
The boys ended their season in 11th place out of 20 teams. They went on to the playoffs and took 6th place! We are so proud of the progress that Griff continues to make and look forward to seeing his growth as a basketball player.
I didn't get any photos during the season.....I finally remembered to bring the camera during the playoff games!
