Memorial Day visit to Tri-Cities
The family headed east for part of the holiday weekend. The kids had the chance to play with their cousins and we had some time to relax. This was a special trip because Grandma is getting ready to retire in just a few weeks so we gave her a retirement present early. She was surprised and so excited!
Grandma was really excited about her laptop! |
We even got to spend some time in the pool |

Sitting and army crawling and standing OH MY!
In just the past few days Trig has started to army crawl. There was a cup on the floor and he went from the sitting position to his tummy and then started to pull his way to the cup. We were extremely excited!
Seeing Trig being the crawling phase was exciting but we definitely didn't expect to see him begin to pull himself up! I was putting away laundry last night and he pulled himself up using the laundry basket. I was able to catch it again on video!
How old is this kid again? Oh ya......he's 7 1/2 months!!

Griffologic!
Griffen is getting ready for Lacrosse practice and wants to let me know he can't find something.
{Mom} Are you looking for your cup?
{Griff} No I'm wearing it.
I do a cup check......
{Mom} It needs to be lower so it covers your junk!
{Griff} My junk sits up high...it is covered mom!
He was looking for a backpack.

Adventures in home building!
I created this blog for our children so they could look back at all of the wonderful experiences that we had as a family.
It was only fitting to add the photos and updates as we build our new home in Monroe!

Trig is 7 months
Today I'm 7 months old! I can sit by myself for quite a while without falling over. I have become very efficient at getting across the room in a matter of minutes using a combination of rolling and wiggling. I'm anxious to be on the move and I've started tucking my knees under so it will only be a matter of time before I start crawling. I've tried some sold foods including avocado, chicken, peas, salmon, banana, mango, pears, and prunes. I'm not a huge fan so we are taking it slow. I'm grabbing more toys and I still love sophie...she is nice to chew on to help my gums since I still don't have any teeth. I weigh 14lbs. 4oz. and I'm 26 inches tall.
Big Guy is the Big 9!
Griffen celebrated his 9th birthday with a Speed and Stache Birthday Bash! He and his friends raced at Traxx Racing while wearing their mustaches. It was a site to see!
Knox even had a chance to get in on the action and drove a little Lightening McQueen race car.
Fun was had by all!

Trig is 6 months
Today I'm 6 months old! I weight 13lbs. 10oz. and I'm 25.5 inches long. I am a pro at rolling all over the place and I am starting to sit on my own. I'm happy 99% of the time as long as I am dry and fed. I love sophie and my amber teething beads. I'm proud of mama for making it 6 months and giving me the good stuff!
Surprise......We are going to Great Wolf Lodge!
Griffen was home for spring break so we thought it would be a good opportunity to get out of town.
I packed up the boys the night before and didn't tell Griffen where were going. When daddy got off shift the next morning we piled in the car and hit the road. Griff tried and tried to guess where were going and even asked if we were going to Great Wolf but I tried to change the subject.
When we arrive Knox and Griffen's faces were priceless!
We all had an awesome time! The crowds weren't too terrible and we all had plenty of opportunities go on the slides, play in the water, and enjoy our time there as a family.
